‘Elephant King’ sends final copy to Fajr Filmfest

The final copy for Iranian animation ‘Elephant King’ is submitted to the Fajr Film Festival 2018.

The final copy for Iranian animation ‘Elephant King’ has been submitted to the 2018 edition of the Fajr Film Festival.

Directed by Hadi Mohammadian, the final version of the animation has been sent to the 36th Fajr Film Festival.

Set in Africa, the animated film ‘Elephant King’ narrates the story of an elephant who rules over its group like a king.

The queen bears him a son and everybody expects the son to replace his father as heir to the throne. The clumsy baby elephant, however, disappoints them all with its clumsy and incredible propensity to cause destruction and sabotage for the group.

The 90-minute animation has more than 200 people involved in production.

Established in 1982, the Fajr International Film Festival celebrates cultural exchange, displays creative achievements of highly acclaimed cineastes and pays tribute to local and international films.

Since its establishment, the Fajr International Film Festival has played a vital role in the development of Iranian Cinema.

Supervised by Iran’s Ministry of Culture, the festival hosts veteran directors and new filmmakers from Iran and across the world every year.

The 36th edition of the Fajr Film Festival is slated for February 1-11, 2018, in Tehran.
